As a member of this board you agree to not violate the following rules.
You also agree to not violate the Game Forge Terms & Conditions.
Violating any of these rules may result in permanent ban from the board as well as IRC. Heavy missuce that require legal action will fall under German law.

All of the following rules are marked as minor or major. Violation of a minor rule normally results in a silent warning, repeatedly doing so result in official warnings. Violating a major rule always result in a warning or in some case immediate ban.

A. Board

1. Every user has the right to register one board account and one account only. Any person having more than one account registered will have them all banned upon discovery. If two or more users have to share the same IP to access board they will have to inform Board Team, doing this will avoid possible bans.
2. Your account is yours and yours alone, meaning you are responsible for all actions taken by your account at all times.
3. The Language of this board is English & Urdu. This includes but is not limited to posts, signatures and avatars etc.
4. Threats of any kind will not be tolerated.
   
5. Always treat other users and the Ikariam staff with respect. Insults and foul language will not be tolerated.
   

B. Posts

1. External links to any game that is not published by Game Forge is not allowed.
2. Posting links to anything illegal or inappropriate is forbidden, this includes but is not limited to pornography, extreme political views, cracks, hacks, scamming sites or copyrighted material without the owners permission.
3. Posting controversial, irrelevant issues, flaming or trolling is not allowed and may result in the post or thread being censored and/or closed.
4. Write in a way that reflects normal written language. This means don’t use excessive amount of smilies, extreme font sizes or colors.
5. Threads or posts that only are of interest to the thread starter/poster are not allowed.
6. Profanity is not allowed.
7. Posting for a banned user or allowing a banned user access to you account is not allowed and will result in immediate ban of that account.
8. Personal discussions are not allowed in the general forum but are restricted to the spam section.
9. Insulting or publically contradicting a staff member is not allowed and will result in an immediate warning and possible ban.
10. It’s not allowed to abuse the report system.
11. Ban discussions are not allowed on the board. Any questions regarding bans are to be sent through the support system .
12. Spamming is not allowed :

• I - Spam (advertisements and meaningless posts) is not allowed. This means messages that don't contribute to the topic, messages containing less than five words or messages containing nothing but smilies. Spam can also include replying or reacting to spam posts.
  
• II - "Backseat Modding" is also not allowed. This includes but not limited to when a users may post like a Moderator saying (when he is not the thread starter) "Thread Closed".
  
• III - Post hunting (posting with the sole purpose of getting a higher post count) is also spam. This also includes but is not limited to bumping old threads with the sole purpose of getting them to the first page of that section.
  

C. Signatures

1. Signatures cannot contain more than 5 lines of text, this includes whitespace.
2. An image within the signature cannot have a width greater than 500px and its height cannot be greater than 200px. The maximum file size is 80kB.
3. The same rules apply for the signature as for the rest of the board.
4. Staff members are allowed to use bigger images in their signature.

D. -Warnings and Sanctions

• Three silent warnings will equal one Minor warning. Repeated violation of the same rule will however not be tolerated after the three first silent warnings.

Two Minor warnings will equal one Major warning.
Two Major warnings will result in a 2 day ban.
Three Major warnings will result in a 5 day ban.
Four Major warnings will result in a 7 day ban.
Five Major warnings will result in a permanent ban.

• In extreme cases exceptions to may be made to these guidelines.
• Attempting to evade a temporary ban by creating new accounts or accessing through other board users account will result in a longer or possibly permanent ban
• The Board Administrator always has the right to ban a user when he/she judges it is needed.

E. Guidelines

• Every user of the forums is bound to follow these rules, if you feel the warning you have been given is wrong or unjust then contact the concerned Moderator in to resolve the issue, in cases where the issue cannot be resolved then please submit a ticket in the support system
• Don’t post multiple threads on the same topics. Please use the search function before creating a new topic to make sure there is not already an active thread on the topic you want to discuss.Please follow the chain of command:
• If you have any problem with a moderator, then contact a super moderator.
• If you have any problem with a super moderator, then contact the Board Admin.
• If you have any problem with the Board Admin, then contact the Team manager.
• If you have any problem with the Team manager, then contact the Community Manager.
